Wireless Shock Sensor Issue Identified - TX-5011-03-1/3

Quality control is a key component in our business, ensuring delivery of a consistent product and services. As we are monitoring high quality standards, we also communicate whenever issues occur.
This issue is regarding our 868MHz wireless shock sensor.

It was found that shortly after being installed, units may show an early RF loss condition, causing the alarm panel to report a zone supervision fault for the shock sensor.
Units that were returned from the field have been investigated by engineering to find the root cause. As an outcome of the investigation, improvements have been applied and are currently being further tested prior to resume production.

Affected Products

  • TX-5011-03-1: Wireless shock sensor 868MHz, white
  • TX-5011-03-3: Wireless shock sensor 868MHz, brown

How to identify the defective units?

Although the issue has been reported recently, we cannot link the issue to a certain manufacturing date, nor recent change in component(s).  Sensors that are installed and for which the panel is not reporting an early supervision fault are considered not impacted

What to do if I have defective units in stock?

Out of precaution, all units on stock in CEVA and in local warehouses are put on hold. Any other stock not being installed can be returned through the normal RMA process.
